Darn It, LLC provides a wide range of services from alterations, to repairs, from repurposing something old into something new, or simply designing or constructing an item from scratch or a pattern. 01 Alterations
Includes such tasks as taking in/letting out a bodice, shortening a hemline (pants, jeans, skirts, or dresses) or taking up a strap, just to name a few. I have worked a lot on formals for weddings and prom as well as minor alterations on wedding gowns.
02 New Construction
Includes such projects that require the use of a pattern. I have used both commercial patterns as well as have had to construct my own. This is not my strongest area of expertise but I do have knowledge and experience in this area.
03 Repairs
Typical repairs items might include restitching a button, repairing/replacing a zipper, mending a tear, reinforcing a seam, restitching beadwork, replacing a snap, etc. Repairs are typically a very cost effective alternative to buying new or even altering an item.
04 Special Projects
Items in this category would include such projects as constructing/recovering cushions, seat covers, curtains, pillows, etc. Almost anything in the home decorating realm would probably fit into this category. I find it to be fun and challenging!
